We visited on a Tuesday night and the place was packed. We started out with the lump crab and spinach dip which was wonderful. I had the shrimp tacos and my other half had bacon wrapped shrimp and pineapple skewers. The food was excellent and the server was sweet as can be. We would definitely recommend!!!

This is a awesome place for dining.has very good seafood, a awesome hamburger, and tacos. You can dine inside or on the porch. The food was very well-prepared, fresh, and the waiting staff was professional courteous and on the spot. The scenery was good too!might want to give it a try if you in the area we would certainly eat there again. The food was reasonably priced for a seafood place in The St Augustine

We had a great experience here. I have ton of food allergies, our waitress --Emma (redheads for the win!*biased*) -- was very good and patient with me. I ordered gluten free and was surprised to get a bun. I have egg and dairy allergies as well.. so Emma checked for me on it. The kitchen recommended against the bun. I did steal a nibble since it was so soft I was curious beyond measure. If you are gluten free the bun here is not sand like! It is soft and moist, AMAZING! My daughter enjoyed my bun. I enjoyed the fries. Burger was about average but that's okay. Great service, Emma!

I had flounder fish here and it was delicious. The spices were so good I didn’t even need anything extra with it. Our server was exceptional- her name starts with an A and she had cool round sunglasses- she watched the drinks and took dishes all so quickly and stayed on top of things. She was so nice too. Bathroom was a little rough but I know they’re tough to stay on top of. Beautiful decor in them though! I loved the wall tiles!

If you’re in St. Augustine, you HAVE to stop by Salt Life. Amazing food, amazing drinks, amazing service. Sat at the upstairs bar and Ashley was so incredible and attentive. The other bartender Nathan was ok. Just kidding he was great!!!! Love this place.

This is a place of atmosphere for sure. The night we chose was perfect for roof top dining. The food was good the service was good but a little over anxious to serve. He kept apologizing and all was well. The eve. Was perfect and enjoyable for the first night at the beach.

Service was ok. Long wait time. After waiting for about 35 minutes for 3 simple tacos, waiter came to check up on us realizing we were still waiting for our order. She said order was out but cold apparently they forgot to bring it to our table.

Delicious food and excellent service. Great view of the ocean! The beach burger and the grouper I highly recommend. We go here every time we visit St. Augustine and it is awesome every single time.

4 for food and 5 for atmosphere. Loved it. The grouper sandwich is highly recommended, though one time mine was a bit burnt, but still good. All the seafood dishes are pretty good. Fries r really good. Burgers r good. Guacamole was so so and really cold.Not on the beach (across A1A Beach Road from the beach) but close. Good parking. Really liked it.

Salt Life is one of my favorite places to take my family when visiting Saint Augustine. The staff is very friendly and helpful. 😊 The food is delicious, and the drinks are delightful and fresh. My favorite thing salt life has to offer is being so close to the ocean and the view on the second floor. . They have bands every night and the music really is so relaxing. It’s a nice place to take the family to dinner and soak in the fresh air. The outside dinning area is very spacious and everyone there is enjoying themselves having a good time. ðŸ‘ðŸ‘

Love the patio and outdoor space! Dog friendly too! Food was good! Large portions! The shrimp brochettes and poke bowls were delicious! Also had live music. Not cheap but fun!

A visitor was more attentive to make sure we weren't being ignored. From there Audrey upstairs was rude and unprofessional but Kate and Samantha were kind. Kate was Awesome, Attentive, Professional and a saving grace. Chris is the Best. He was Amazing, his Swag, Attitude and Professionalism!!! A little bummed this didn't quite meet the expectations and reviews by others. Overall, it was generally good, but not 4 or 5 star good. Food was decent...the nachos were a generous portion and reasonably priced, though we opted to skip most of the rest of the menu, as a lot seemed overpriced ($10-$13 for a burger WITHOUT fries). The drinks were a let down, with my Mai Tai tasting only like juice, no hint of rum evident, plus way too much ice. Service was decent, and there were quite a few people working on both levels.

We went there twice. Both times had the crab boil,was good. Fish & rice was good. Crunch roll sushi was good but can avoid the sugary mayo garnish on top. It just adds calories and takes away the umami factor. Can skip the chocolate cake. Tastes exactly like Costco chocolate cake.Nice vibe. Accessible.

Loved it! We had our team appreciation for work there and we all had drinks and shared appetizers. The happy Havana is a delicious drink, I definitely had two. The calamari was delicious and tender but wish it was served with lemon or a different sauce other than the shack sauce, it makes the calamari kind of taste like shrimp with pink sauce. Wings were great in all three flavors, blackened was too spicy for my husband though. Everyone else liked them. The guacamole was surprisingly good for a predominantly seafood place. Fries were good with the shack sauce! I also really enjoyed the spinach and crab dip. The waitstaff were friendly and attentive. This was my first visit here and I will definitely be going again to try things on the main menu.

Chris was excellent, so was Kate and Samantha was helpful. Audrey was dry. Had it not been for Chris, the food and Kate being so kind I would not have stayed. The service was not excellent thankfully the food was good though.

The service was good and she definitely knew how to push a sale just as well as my coworkers know how to push me to the limit of my patience. The salmon poke bowl was pretty good, but I would have preferred the ginger dressing to be less creamy, but I say that about a lot of things. Mixed drinks were pretty good, I may see you again some day, but for now we must part ways"

We were the only people in line to order and we were greeted, then the employee walked away. No one else ever helped at the window for our takeout order. Went to Seaford Kitchen and got helped and served very Efficiently.

We had a great time, great food, great service. We were greeted quickly with the option of eating upstairs outside or downstairs. We sat at a booth downstairs and were very comfortable. Kyle was our server. A few of our party got drinks and enjoyed them. Our appetizers were quick to the table and hit the spot. I had three of the tacos in an assortment of the options (the fish options) and they were all delicious. A few of us had fries with our meal, which they found a bit cold/stale. Service was incredibly quick to replace the fries to our satisfaction. I would still probably recommend the chips/nachos over the fries.Overall, we had a great time and Kyle did a fantastic job taking care of us.

I'm from the Midwest so I cant say I'm all about that SaltLife, but I am all about this Saltlife when we come to visit. Year after year it has been a great place to eat. Friendly staff, awesome decor and the best food around. We love the night look and eating out on the deck listening to the ocean. By far one of the best places to eat in town.

First time there and we’ve waited for about 10 minutes to get seated and the restaurant wasn’t busy. The only kind person was Kate, the hostess and our server was very dry, just her overall service was poor. The fried avocados and chicken burger with pineapple was delicious though. As we were leaving, we met Chris, who made our drinks and wished he could have served on us instead, had a good conversation and had us smiling and laughing. He was nice to take our pics for us too. Thank you Kate and Chris!!

Beautiful views from the 2nd floor deck and drink specials each night. We had margaritas 1/2 price. They also had fresh oyster deals. Complimentary valet parking was great.

Luckily a bar high-top opened shortly after our arrival, (when we called there was no wait & when we arrived 10 minutes later...) there was a 45 min wait! Jalapeno Orange margarita was delish! Food was good, but not outstanding. Decent prices for what we got. Not opposed to coming here again but will probably try different places before returning.

Service was great, food was great, definitely worth the 30+ minute wait to get in for dinner. Live music and atmosphere were chill. Recommendations: crab and spinach dip, clam chowder, and the Boca style grouper. We’ll definitely be back and will bring some friends!

I really enjoy coming to Salt Life for the food and drinks. The place is usually busy so it makes it more enjoyable to me. The food is fresh and I have yet to have a bad service night here. But like I said it's usually busy so get there early and you will be fine. Unless you like to wait they do have a nice waiting area and you can walk up to the bar for drinks.

One of our favorites places on the beach to eat. Had friends from out of town and came here after taking them to downtown st. Augustine. Great place to get away from St. George street and enjoy great outside dinner especially the bowls and fish tacos.

Atmosphere was great with a cool patio bar upstairs but the service and food was mediocre. Our server could have been more knowledgeable about the menu and was slow when serving refills. The food was just ok; definitely nothing that excited me enough to come back. My mom's burger was dry, my dad's nachos were very overcooked, and my tacos were quite bland.

The vibe inside was fun and they had live music. The baked oysters were way undercooked. They took them back to cook more, but they still weren't cooked. We picked the oysters out and ate them anyway, because we like raw oysters also. But if you can't eat raw oysters, I wouldn't recommend ordering them. The staff was great, the atmosphere was fun and we would give it another try.

A Christmas Eve dinner shift could almost be considered torture for those in the industry, but our server showed not one wince! He was absolutely superb, and their grouper was a blessing!Sure, the hostess at the front left a lot of opportunity for a warmer welcome, but that quickly faded into a fabulous memory of divine cocktails and food...and, holy moly! watch out for that huge chocolate drink!

This Salt Life has a great atmosphere and great service all around. The food never disappoints! Celebrated my son's 20th birthday here and they brought him out a yummy piece of rum cake and sang. It's nice to know I can still embarrass him in public😂

The food par at best. 2 orders came cooked poorly and what did arrive was very sparse portions for the dollars. Wait staff was good but management was poor. Seemed like the restaurant was being run by inexperienced management and it showed.

Valet park, it is worth it! Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating areas. I tried the Salt Life Lager it was good. The oysters tasted clean and sweet. The horseradish and cocktail sauce combo was good. Big menu and salads. You can expect to pay about 20 bucks per adult not including alcohol or appetizers. Come in, have fun and enjoy a good meal.

We visit the area once a year for a family retreat. We always enjoy the food and service here. As a bonus, we went on a Friday night and enjoyed the food on the patio and listened to the live music. It was a great experience for everyone.

Let me be clear, the food was okay, but our server Addison and the staff was amazing. My partner and I decided to travel to St. Augustine for a day trip. We received a recommendation to give the Salt Life Food Shack a try. The drinks were handcrafted, and delicious. Our food was a little burnt, but we both work in the industry so it wasn't a big deal. Our server Addison is the reason we will come back and give the restaurant another try. He was genuinely kind, efficient, and attentive. This was my first time at this establishment. The restaurant is setup nice with multiple bars and live music playing as well. The service overall was good and fast, but the food was decent nothing really that special just overpriced.

The food here is AMAZING!! Love this restaurant for its theme and great service and did I mention the tasty food! Everything we ordered was wonderful. The artichoke dip is a favorite as well as the shrimp and crab legs.
